The internet has been one of the most important innovations of the recent decade. There will be more in these successive decades such as the standardization of the cellular phone network, compact fuel cells and electric automobiles, and the increasing influence of technology upon the most minute details of everyday life.

Communication has reached new levels and new forms thanks to this new medium. People from across the world can talk to each other with mere seconds delay. Friends long parted can be reunited. Lovers can see each other and talk with each other (even make love to each other) despite the oceans that separate them.
