“What do you think about me getting married right after graduation?” I asked my mother. “The sooner you get married, the sooner you’re settled,” my mother said today at dinner. It’s a good thing apparently.
I totally agree, and that is why I want to get married as early as possible (to the right woman of course). I think that until I get married and have kids of my own, I will feel like a kid myself.
I don’t understand why couples date for six+ years without getting married (but feel free to leave an enlightening comment). I usually hear the “we’re waiting until we have money” excuse, but isn’t it cheaper to live with another person (sharing rent, food, laundry, bills)?
The responsibility that comes with having to provide a life for others can change the person you are–hopefully in my case, for the better. I have shunned responsibility in recent years, but I have always looked forward to this one, and I can’t wait to see the man I become.
