I knew I’d miss her so I asked her to concede but she refused me and decided to procede I stopped her with a touch that gently brushed her cheek, then led her to the gate where we planned to meet next week. But life is strange, so the unexpected occurs, and I prayed that in her mind, I would never be a blur.
They say that time makes the heart grow even fonder but I think that this sweet saying was some lonely man’s ponder, because the human heart is weak and fickle as the mob, so it needs constant care and is the most consuming job in this quiet world of ours that spins skewed on its axis all the trouble and turmoil is for some affection and a kiss.
So I said goodbye to that lovely girl of mine and watched quite sadly as she left me for a time, that day long ago when our destinies did part, and the course of my life was shifted by my heart.
